Authentic Thai iced tea is a simple process, typically requiring black tea leaves, water, and condensed or evaporated milk.
Steep the loose tea leaves in boiling water for 3 to 5 minutes to create a strong concentrate. A fine sieve or “tea sock” is often necessary to strain the fine leaves.
Sweeten the hot tea with sugar or condensed milk.
Serve by pouring the sweetened tea over a tall glass of ice.
Top with evaporated milk (or a non-dairy alternative like coconut or soy milk) to create the signature creamy layer
